Our brief for this project was to create a unique, visually beautiful, & commercially effective space, & to raise the profile of the store.
We worked closely with B&L in the concept stage to achieve a layout which would optimise the use of space & offer the customer a premium, exploratory shopping experience. Flexibility was paramount to allow for seasonal display changes & to future proof for ever changing consumer trends & tastes.
We wanted to achieve a contrasting interior aesthetic against the rest of the store, & to create a 'store within a store'. Which meant that we could be experimental & bold with colours, materials & lighting.
The design was minimalist & neutral colours were employed to ensure that no attention was taken away from the product.
As with any Food Retail Space, refrigeration was of vital importance. Partnering with Verde Group we we're able to design & specify refrigeration systems & display cabinets which minimalised energy consumption whilst maximised visual impact.
Nick Baker, Managing Director of the CT Baker Group, says “Our future is as important as our rich
history, therefore a greener Delicatessen counter was an important improvement to make. We’ve
carefully considered the whole space to offer our customers a much improved, inviting atmosphere,
and we are thrilled with the result.
